Agenda Worthy Podcasts, Part Two

I am a self-proclaimed podcast junkie. For real. I think I say, “I heard this on a podcast” about sixteen times a day. That said, when I find new podcasts I love, I want to tell people. For this quick post, I’ve chosen four podcasts I’ve listened to in the past couple of months. If you’re thinking of starting your own business or taking a leap of any kind in your life… I think you’ll like at least one of the podcasts below.

Being Boss... had a baby. Well, a pod baby.  Making a Business is a spin off podcast featuring boss hosts Kathleen Shannon and Emily Thompson get together in this mini-series to give a blow-by-blow account of Emily’s experience as she starts her new business, Almanac Supply Company. An interesting listen if you’d like to investigate the ins and outs to starting a business from scratch and following your dreams.

Speaking of starting a business, if you’ve got a something you’re thinking of starting up on the side, you’ll want to check out Chris Guillebeau’s Side Hustle School podcast. Chris delivers DAILY (yes, daily!) stories about real people who had dreams of starting a side hustle. He tells what went well in their pursuits, what were challenges, and gives us the end result. A must listen if you’ve got your sights on trying something new.

If you want to not only start a side business, but also, um.... quit your regular job, then might I recommend Don’t Keep Your Day Job with Cathy Heller. Songwriter and podcast host encourages listeners to “find a new sense of fulfillment and purpose in their work.” She has amazing guests like Jenna Fischer, Lewis Howes, and Julia Cameron, and explores a wide variety of careers and way to make a living.

It’s always cool when you find out that the graphic artist who worked on your website (#mygraphicartist) also has a great podcast. Enter the multi-talented Shana Dewitt who brings us the Be Heard Podcast, highlighting entrepreneurs who have overcome hurtles and obstacles and successfully launched their businesses. Listen to the amazing women that Shana interviews - you’ll surely be inspired!

Stay tuned… more podcast suggestions are on the way!
