Agenda Worthy Eats and Drinks

When I like something, I want the world to know. Below are some of my October favorites, and a few of my idiosynchrosies mixed in with the list.

FOOD. Let it be known that I don't deal well with low blood sugar. It gets worse when I rely on reaching for whatever crap is in front of my to satisfy my hunger.  Therefore, I stash snacks in my purse, work bag, yoga bag, glove compartment, golf bag... you get the idea.  Here are some of my favorites:

LARA BARS-  There are many reasons why I love these bars. First, they are AWESOME. Second, they meet my dietary needs of gluten free, dairy free, and soy free.  (They're also Kosher, Vegan, and Non-GMO.) I feel good about the bars I'm eating, even when the flavors are so amazingly delicious like chocolate chip cookie dough.  (I mean seriously, those are legit.) Other flavors include blueberry, cashew, apple pie, carrot cake, and peanut butter chocolate chip to name just a few.  The company prides itself on using SIX ingredients in their bars.

PHYTER BARS- While you may have heard about LARA Bars in the past, PHYTER Bars are newer to the market.  The platform for these bars is that in order to live life to the fullest, we need clean fuel in the form of great food. No chemicals are allowed in these bars that are made entirely from plants.  Because of the lack of chemicals and preservatives, these bars are stored in the fridge to ensure freshness.  Bars come in deliciously interesting flavors like beet & cocoa, sweet potato & coconut,  butternut squash & peanut butter, or cranberry & strawberry.  I've never thrown a bar in the fridge before, so wasn't sure how I'd like it.  However, I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled out the chilled beet & cocoa bar for a pre work out snack. DELISH! Snack well, feel well!

FIGGY POPS- I love gettin' Figgy with these freaking awesome snacks. While the pops come in many flavors, my favorite is the Choco Crunch.  These organic unbaked energy balls are made from all natural ingredients, as in... cocoa, cherries, dates, figs, power seeds, coconut, and cacao nibs.  Note there were no chemicals or preservatives mentioned there.  That's because the company (Made in Nature) that makes these little bits of heaven don't use anything bad in their products.  Pop some of these in your mouth next time you need a lift or just crave something delicious.
